Tongue Trek ("the App") is a pixel-art, tongue-flicking bug-catching game published by Tin9 Games. This policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is used.
๐๏ธ Microphone
The current version of Tongue Trek does not use the microphone and does not collect any audio. An earlier design included an optional voice-controlled input mode; it was removed from the shipped game before launch and is not active in any way you can reach as a player. If a voice mode is ever reintroduced in a future update, this policy will be updated first, and it would remain analyze-only with nothing recorded โ the same standard our other games follow.
๐พ Data stored on your device
The App stores the following locally on your device only (not on any server):
- Your level progress, stars earned, and unlocked chapters/boxes
- Your chosen or auto-generated player name
- Your language, sound, and other in-game settings
This data is not linked to your identity, is not shared with the developer, and is not transmitted off your device.
๐ Global leaderboard
When you finish a level or endless run that passes the App's built-in anti-cheat check (a deterministic replay verification, the same architecture used across our other games), the App uploads your player name, score, level progress, and an anonymous device identifier to a global leaderboard hosted on Supabase, so you can see how you compare with other players worldwide.
This upload is tied only to a random, anonymous device identifier generated and stored on your device โ never to your real name, email, account, or any other personal information; the App has no account or sign-in system. Your player name is displayed publicly on the leaderboard; you can change it from Settings (limited to a few changes per week to prevent abuse), which updates your existing leaderboard entries. See Supabase's Privacy Policy for how they handle hosting.
๐บ Advertising
The App shows ads served by Google AdMob to keep the game free: an occasional interstitial ad after a level ends (never during gameplay, and never in your first 48 hours of play), and โ in Endless mode only โ an optional rewarded video you can choose to watch to double your score.
Google AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as your advertising ID) and approximate location to serve and measure ads. On iOS, you will be asked for App Tracking Transparency permission before any identifier is used for personalized ads โ you can decline and still see ads (just less tailored ones). Where required by law (for example, in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), you will also see a consent form describing your choices before any ads are requested. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.
๐ In-app purchases
The App offers an optional one-time purchase, "Remove Ads," which removes interstitial ads only โ the optional rewarded video in Endless mode remains available either way, since watching it is always your choice. Payment is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play โ the App never sees your payment details. To validate the purchase and restore it if you reinstall, the App uses RevenueCat, which receives your store purchase receipt and a random, app-generated anonymous ID โ never your name, email, or payment information. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.
๐ Other third-party services
Other than Google AdMob, RevenueCat, and Supabase (all described above), the App does not use any third-party analytics or login SDKs. If this changes in a future update, this policy will be updated in advance and reflected in the App Store's Privacy Nutrition Label / Google Play's Data safety section.
๐ง Children
Tongue Trek is designed to be suitable for all ages, including children โ there is no violence, no scary content, and no way to "lose" the game. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. No account or personal information is required to play. Parents and guardians with questions about data practices, including under COPPA or similar regional rules, can reach us at the contact below.
๐๏ธ Data deletion
Since the App has no account system, most of your data (progress, settings, player name) lives only on your device and is deleted automatically when you uninstall the App. To request deletion of your global leaderboard entry (name, score, and anonymous device identifier) from our Supabase database, email us at the address below with the player name shown in your Settings screen.
